The
handle of PTL screwdrivers has been
ergonomically designed in our research and
development department. Handle is injection
moulded out of transparent blue-colored
cellulose acetate granules. Cellulose Acetate is
a natural polymer manufactured out of natural
cellulose. The material has many good properties
such as high transparency and aesthetic appeal,
high impact and mechanical strength, high
dielectric constant, good resistance to a
variety of chemicals and compatibility with
human skin. The blade or shaft of screwdriver is
made out of spring steel and thereafter go
through number of operations and finally
nickel-chrome plated for corrosion prevention.
Magnetized blade tips are hardened and tempered
and confirm to appropriate Rockwell Hardness
numbers as per IS specifications. The blade
dimensions of PTL Screwdrivers also generally
confirm to International Standards; ISO
2380-1:2004(E) & ISO 2380-2:2004(E).
